John
Huang.

AI automation for specialty B2B operators.

I build AI systems that do real work—not demos, not decks. My consulting helps manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, and mid-market operators identify where AI actually moves the needle, then deploys bespoke agents that run inside your workflow. Every engagement ships on Myco OS, the business operating system I built to run agents in production.

I was interviewed for Marketplace’s April 21, 2026 segment on agentic AI and its effect on tech worker productivity and anxiety.

“AI agents are supercharging productivity, and anxiety, in tech.”

I have, right now, eight bots running. For example, in the morning, at 6 a.m. it goes to Reddit, looks at the top threads and the topics I’m interested in and I told it, ‘By 7 a.m. in my inbox I want a report on the top news items I’m interested in.’ — John Huang, on Marketplace

02 / Engagements

What I do.

Four ways I work with operators. Every engagement is scoped to ship something real—code running, work getting done—not a PowerPoint.

(a) · Strategy

AI automation strategy

A sober roadmap for where AI actually fits your business. I help you prioritize the 3–5 workflows where agents create measurable leverage, and which to leave alone. Starts with your P&L, not a vendor deck.

(b) · Build

Custom agent development

Bespoke agents built for the way your team actually works—your systems, your data, your edge cases. Deployed on Myco OS so they keep running after I leave. No generic chat wrappers.

(c) · Audit

Business operations audit

A two-week structured walk-through of your operations to find automation opportunities ranked by ROI and feasibility. You leave with a prioritized list, time estimates, and the build order that makes sense.

(d) · Enable

Team enablement

Training and ongoing support so your team owns what I build. I’d rather make your ops lead dangerous with agents than be your long-term vendor. Quarterly reviews keep the stack evolving.

03 / Platform

Powered by Myco OS.

The business operating system behind every engagement.

Every engagement deploys Myco OS, the business operating system I’ve built for managing AI agents at operational scale. Myco handles the modules, integrations, monitoring, and evolution that keep your automation working a year after delivery—not a week.

Agents don’t fail because the models aren’t good enough. They fail because nobody’s watching them, the tools change, the schema drifts, and the humans who built them move on. Myco is the substrate that solves for that. One control plane, one audit trail, one place to evolve the swarm.

What I’m running.

Eight bots I run for myself, every day. Not examples—my actual daily stack. If I won’t run it on my own workflow, I won’t ship it to yours.

05 / Background

Operator first, then builder.

I joined CrowdStrike as the first sales engineer on the corporate sales team, grew into Manager and then Director of Sales Engineering, and rode the company through its June 2019 IPO. Before that I was the first SE hire at A10 Networks—zero customers to IPO in 2014—and spent four years at F5 Networks. I’ve spent two decades selling real systems to real operators.

Today I invest early-stage as Principal at Angel Strike Capital—portfolio includes OpenAI, SpaceX, Lily AI, Forethought, Tutor Intelligence, and exits at Armorblox and Sora ID. I speak working Mandarin and my focus is where software meets small- to mid-market operators—the market where AI finally has something real to automate.

OpenClaw Silicon Valley.

A monthly builder meetup in Menlo Park. No pitches, no decks. People who build agents, showing what they’re running.

Monthly meetup · Menlo Park

I host OpenClaw SV once a month for operators and builders working on AI agents in production. Half demos, half field notes, always an honest post-mortem or two. If you’re shipping agents, you’re welcome.
